Section 1 · What this site is

Fiat Is Fake is a personal-finance and Bitcoin education site built to fill a gap. Most financial education either ignores Bitcoin entirely or treats it as speculation. Most Bitcoin content ignores traditional personal finance. This site covers both.

The central thesis: understanding how money works (how it is created, who controls it, what it is worth over time) makes every other financial decision clearer.

Section 2 · How it is funded

This site has no advertising, no paywall, no affiliate links, and no sponsors. Nothing on it is monetized. It is funded entirely by voluntary Bitcoin donations, and by nothing else.

• No product on this site pays to be here. Every recommendation exists independent of any commission, because there are no commissions.
• No ads, no email capture, no “sign up through our link.” If a link ever pays the site, it will be disclosed on that page before you click, but today none do.
• Donations are the only support model. They are optional and change nothing about the content.

Section 3 · Editorial philosophy

Steelman the opposing view

Every section arguing for Bitcoin includes the strongest case against it. Every section critical of fiat includes the legitimate arguments for the current system. If I cannot articulate the other side's best argument, I have not understood it.

Verify everything

Claims require sources. Sources are cited with verify badges throughout the site. When I cannot verify something, I say so explicitly rather than asserting confidence I do not have.

Plain English

Jargon is defined on first use. Tooltips throughout the site provide quick definitions. I do not use words to signal sophistication; I use them because they are precise.

Honest about limitations

I do not know what Bitcoin will be worth. I do not know exactly when Social Security will face cuts. I say that explicitly rather than projecting false certainty.
