The /how-it-works/ page covers the basics. This section is for people who have skin in the game and want to understand the layer beneath. UTXO management, running a node, Lightning practicalities, advanced privacy, and multisig. Written from direct experience: I run the hardware and use the software.

Not financial or legal advice. This section describes technical workflows using my own hardware setup. Software and protocols change. Figures marked [VERIFY] require confirmation before you rely on them.
If you hold more than pocket-change Bitcoin, the software underneath your stack matters. UTXOs are the unit of ownership and they need labels. A node is how you check your own balance without trusting anyone. Lightning is how Bitcoin actually pays for a coffee. Privacy is a discipline, not a product. Multisig is how you stop a single lost seed from erasing a decade of saving. Five pieces. All of them reachable with consumer hardware and patience.
Each card is a standalone deep-dive. Read in order if you are new to the technical layer. Jump around if you already know what you need.
This is not the "how do I buy my first hundred dollars of Bitcoin" page. That one is here. The technical section assumes you have already done the beginner work.
The first-person voice across this section is not a style choice. I run a Start9 Server One, two Bitaxe Gamma Duo miners pointed at solo.ckpool.org, and I sign transactions from a Coldcard Mk4 inside Sparrow Wallet. Every recommendation here is something I do or have done. Where I have not personally tested a path, I say so.
